Remember…Disney Dreams Do Come True!

First, I’d like to introduce us to you. We are Trent (40), Tracy (37), Karlee (11), Carson (9), and Grace (7 months). We are originally from the Salt Lake City, Utah area and we have been Disney fans ever since Tracy and I made our first trip to Disneyland in 1996.

In the summer of 2010 Trent took a new job in Tallahassee, FL and we are settling into our new surroundings and house. We are scheduled to close on the sale of our house in Utah this week and we have been promising the kids (and ourselves) that once the house is sold we can get Florida resident annual passes to Walt Disney World.

We are by no means new to Disney. Tracy and I drove to Disneyland for the first time in the fall of 1996. We had been married for 2-1/2 years but money was still tight. We visited Universal Studios Hollywood for one day and Disneyland for one day. We arrived at Disneyland early and stayed late. Like I mentioned, money was tight so we bought Lunchables at the Food 4 Less the night before going to Disneyland and packed them in a cooler and left the park to eat our lunch in the parking lot.

Since our first visit, we have returned 6 additional times. Each visit we learned new tips and tricks on visiting the parks, what to do in the Anaheim area, how to get a great hotel deal and other things that we will fill you in on in other posts.

Scattered in between these trips to Disneyland were two visits aboard Disney Cruise Line‘s fabulous ship; The Magic. We truly love cruising and even more so with Disney, or The Mickey Boat as the kids called it when they were younger. Nearly two years ago we scheduled another visit on Disney Cruise Line aboard The Wonder as she was scheduled to reposition to the west coast of the US where it would be closer to home than the departure location of Port Canaveral, FL on our previous two Disney cruises. We were so excited about this upcoming cruise that we were able to get 4 other sets of families (friends and family) to book the same cruise as us. Well, who has the last laugh now as we will still have to travel across the country (from Tallahassee, FL to Long Beach, CA) to the departure port.
